Golf as a force for change.

Thipe Youth Golf Academy (TYGA) is a program designed to introduce golf as a sport in township schools, create a golf league in schools, and use golf principles to change the mindset of the youth from an early age to adulthood.

We want to groom young boys and girls to excel at a sport that represents good values, discipline and focus — so they can become a positive influence in their communities.

Our story

From first swings to a real pathway.

2019

A first tee time

TYGA began with a handful of juniors from local township schools and a shared belief that golf could teach more than a swing.

2021

The school league

We formalised our first inter-school golf league, giving juniors a reason to practise with purpose and compete with pride.

2023

A structured pathway

Little Birdies, Junior Development and Performance Pathway launched, giving every junior a clear route from first swing to competitive play.

2025

Building the clubhouse

We opened enrolment digitally, making it easier for parents to register, track progress and stay close to their child's development.
