Safeguarding Policy
Protecting the welfare and wellbeing of every athlete, parent, and staff member
1. Our Commitment
Thipe Youth Golf Academy is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all junior athletes, volunteers, visitors, and staff. Safeguarding is central to how we run our programmes and how we engage with families.
2. Safe Practice
All sessions are delivered with appropriate supervision, risk awareness, healthy boundaries, and clear behavioural expectations. We take practical steps to ensure that young players are supported, protected, and encouraged to participate in a safe and positive setting.
3. Reporting and Response
Any safeguarding concern, disclosure, or incident is treated seriously and dealt with promptly, fairly, and confidentially. We encourage concerns to be raised with the academy leadership without delay so that appropriate support and action can be taken.
4. Boundaries and Conduct
All staff, volunteers, and coaches are expected to maintain professional boundaries, act with integrity, and respond appropriately to concerns or allegations. Behaviour that compromises the wellbeing of a child or vulnerable person will not be tolerated.
5. Contact and Support
Parents, guardians, or participants who have concerns may contact the academy directly at info@tygagolf.co.za. We will listen carefully, assess the concern, and take the necessary steps to protect the wellbeing of those affected.
